It is snowing outside! We could get anywhere inbetween 6-20 inches depending on who you talk to. I went to the store last night and got a few groceries to get us through the rest of the week. Thankfully John can walk to work.

These are the last few days of my maternity leave. I had visions of getting all these wonderful things done while on my leave. Know what? It's near impossible to get anything done with a 2 year old and an infant that think she needs to be held all the time. I have been getting the house a little more organized. We moved in January and are getting much more settled. Heaven knows we have more things to move over here but it will happen. It sounds like there has been some interest in our house in Mankato. Hopefully we'll sell it soon. Know anybody that wants to buy a house. Check it out.
I have been able to a little knitting in the evening. John has been great about letting me do a little knitting. Amanda is super fussy in the evening so it's actually more work than it sounds. I started this sweater out of Hip Knits.

I love the lace pattern of this sweater. It has been a lot of fun to work on. It is for Amanda. It is a 6-9 month size. I am knitting it with Knit Picks sport weight cotton/acrylic blend.

No matter where they fall asleep.
Amanda fell asleep in her car seat today on the way to the Chiropractor. She has been very fussy today so Jacob and I decided to let her sleep in her car seat for a while. Maybe it will help her disposition.

We received lots of snow over the past two days. We are kind of stuck inside. Last night we did venture out to Kmart and Cashwise for groceries. It was pretty slippery out and the side streets were very full of snow.
Today we are playing in the house. Daddy is gone to work. We hope he is having a good day.

Have a good day Daddy!!

It is so cold outside. I took both the kids with me to the Chiropractor this morning. It was terribly cold. Everyone is snuggled in right now taking a nap. Want proof???

I accidently woke the other two up. Whoops. They were sleeping.

Amanda Jean was born on January 17th, 2007, at 6:06 pm.

I had a very easy labor with Amanda. I left work at 10:45 to go to my doctors appointment. I finally saw the doctor at 11:30. She said I was dilated inbetween a 5 and 6. Because I had been having braxton-hicks contractions she wanted to have me monitored. We went to the adjacent hospital at 12:00. By 1:00 I was dilated to a full 6 and was having regular contractions. The doctor suggested we get my husband to the hosptial as soon as possible. At 2:30 John got there and they broke my water. At 3:30 I was having hard contractions and they gave me an ISN (Inter Spinal Narcotic). At 5:30 it wore off and the contractions were hard. They had the doctor paiged. At 6:00 the doctor got to the room and I started pushing. A full 6 minutes later Amanda was born.

Happy New Family!

Daddy all tired out from the whole experience. Jacob is very excited about Amanda.

John and I picked out coming home outfits for the baby at Target this weekend. We don't know for certain if it's a boy or a girl so we bought one of each. I knit matching socks and a hat out of Debbie Bliss Purely Silk. Very soft!

Jacob is such a cute Superman. We didn't actually go out Trick or Treating but he had so much fun handing out candy to the kids. It was only about 20 degrees out tonight. Pretty Chilly!

Jacob and me.

Superman himself!

I had to go back to the clinic today and have my Gestational Diabetes test done again. This was a more indepth test. It was done over 3 hours. Not much fun. I was stuck 4 different times. (Actually 5 because the last lady had a hard time finding a vein.) In honor of this 3 hours of uninterupted knitting time I saved the last episode of Cast-on to listen to then. I have been eagerly waiting for the new series to start.
Then as I sat there, knitting to my hearts content, she talked about me! Little ole me!!! Yes, I am the one that wrote back about the Michael's comments made in the last episode of the previous series. I am so excited about it. She didn't say my name or anything but I know it was me and that's all that matters. I was beaming!
I am still waiting to hear about the results from my test. I think it'll be fine though. I am going to call tomorrow as soon as the clinic opens. I will keep you posted.

I am an evil blogger. Actually just a busy, overworked, underpaid, too much on my schedule, not enough hours in the day, pregnant blogger. I think of doing this from time to time but today I am going to sit down and actual write.
Things are going ok. I am pregnant as you all know. I am 25 1/2 weeks along. Yep, only 14 1/2 weeks to go. Things are going well. We have had several ultrasounds and we have not been able to pin down the exact sex of the baby. So far the ultrasound technician will only tell us that she can't see any boy parts but won't come out and say it's a girl either. *Slightly Frustrating* I really want to knit some gender specific projects but am afraid to. I am currently working on a cute garder stitch cardigan. It is green with different shades added to it. Definitely boy. I do have several sweaters in my finished pile that are strictly boy or girl. I just did some really cute socks too! They fit Jacob, my two year old, but he refuses to wear them. They are kind of a raspberry color and could go for boy or girl but he wants nothing to do with them.
Things at work are ok. The 4th quarter is so busy. Everybody needs stuff by a dead line and some of them are so unrealistic. I have just decided that the orders that do come in will need to be babysat through the office and out into production.
Michael's is going ok. I have had a few classes this fall. I have been doing more demo work in the store. I will be going in this afternoon for that very thing. It's ok. No big deal. I am going in to carve these man made pumpkins. I think they're pretty cool. We have this heated cutting tool that works really well with it. The tool is called the Versatool. I definitely recommend it.
Well, I better get in the shower. Time to carve the pumpkins!

That is what graced my desk today. Yes, my long awaited order from Knit Picks came today. I love their product. I love their selection. I love their price. BUT it takes way too long to get the stuff once I order it. All of it is for baby sweaters. February will be a wonderful time to have a baby. I have been alternating knitting a boy sweater and then a girl. We should know if it's a boy or girl in the next 3 weeks. It is so unbelievable that this pregnancy has gone this fast. 17 weeks along already. I hope to continue with my boy sweater, girl sweater pace. I love keeping knit gifts on hand. I will post pictures of my lute shortly.
Work has been fine. Very slow today. That's ok I guess. I have been able to help a little and answer questions for some of the new people.
Tonight I am going to Pub 500 for some Happy Appetizers. Can't have Happy Hour so I'll improvise.
Things are still completely up in the air about the housing situation. I should know more by the weekend.
Bye for now.
